About psychotherapy science

Abstract

This paper introduces ideas on the nature of and concept for Psychotherapy Science. A distinction is made between Science and Profession. The results of psychotherapy research suggest that the social sciences should impact more strongly on Psychotherapy Science. A formal institutional approach is propo­sed for the establishment and development of a Psychotherapy Science – in due recognition of the plurality of psychotherapy.
